Mrs. Rafi’s career spans to twenty plus wonderful years in Banking sector. Her professional journey started from Seabulk Offshore International as a Documentation Specialist (Junior). Later on she embarked on her banking career as a Team Lead for service quality. This was with Standard Chartered Bank when BPO culture was being conceptualized. Moving to Mashreq Bank opened a whole new world of Operations & Risk. The journey initialized at a supervisory role in the Retail Processing Center. Where in processing retail products with minimal operational risk was her key responsibility. As a business process owner, she enjoyed ensuring the internal external audit standards and regulations are intact. She was a key stake holder and resource person who handled the outsourcing of Mashreq operations division to India. A whole lot of learning experience added to her journey from here. A stint at Corporate Banking sector gave an exposure to the banking culture as well as requisites of the large corporates. Hence providing her with the exposure on both Retail as well as Corporate Banking sector.

Post Mashreq, she joined Mawarid Finance, the then 2nd largest NBFC in UAE. Heading the operations of the company her core responsibility was to inculcate an operations culture in the organization. From building a proper team, training them and then equipping them with core operations functions is what she did. From an unsatisfactory audit rating, to satisfactory internal and external audit rating was an uphill task she enjoyed. Revamping of products and services and launching new products was seamlessly done under her realm.

The fulfilling years at the Middle East, provided her with an insight into the gap existing between employability and academics. And VitaSkills was born to bridge this gap. Life Skills / Soft skills are the core behind a man’s success and yet the most undervalued skill set. The sad fact is that this acumen is never passed on to us through out our academic life. She represents VitaSkills as a human value propagator into the academia, equipping students, teachers / faculties and parents into turning out value based positive minded generations on whom the families and society can depend. She is a celebrated orator, mentor to many and a successful Corporate Trainer who have touched thousands of lives so far. She acts as a catalyst in bringing in the best possible version of you through her tailor-made skill development sessions. Management consultancy is yet another area she ventures into and supports entities / entrepreneurs with business acumen.
